Teaching yoga to beginners
When the Ashtanga Vinyasa system is understood, it can be used to help anyone transcend life’s limitations. Physically, mentally and emotionally. Join Michael for an intense yet intimate 5-days to learn how. The teachings in this course are drawn from Micheal’s NEW, forthcoming book, ‘ASHTANGA YOGA MADE SIMPLE – real yoga for real beginners’.
This 5-day Teacher Training Intensive is open to all interested students, and is designed to enrich dedicated practitioners, aspiring teachers, or those already teaching.
The Teacher Training is made up of 2 parts:
Practice Sessions 7:00am-9:00am
Teaching Techniques Sessions 9:30am-1:30pm
Practice Sessions:
These sessions are open to all interested students; those taking the full training and those who can only attend the Practice Sessions. They will be made up learning the Mysore Puzzle with at least one session being a “Counted” Vinyasa Class.
Teacher Techniques Sessions
The course is devoted to dissecting the fundamental poses of the Ashtanga sequence in a way that they can be conveyed to beginners. Open to all interested students – teachers and non-teachers alike – who wish to deepen their exploration through teaching simulations, adjustment techniques, partner work, small group work, lectures, additional practices, and Q & A sessions.

A certificate of completion for this course is available and has been approved by Yoga Alliance for Continuing Education Hours.
